Hyundai Reveals New Elantra
This week, Hyundai revealed its newly designed Elantra in South Korea. The bran's popular compact vehicle, now in its sixth generation, features a more sleek and dynamic design that aims to maintain their distinctive presence within the competitive compact sedan segment.
The Elantra's interior reflects Hyundai's evolving desin aesthetic with a more contemporary and comfortable feel. While the model's exterior compliments its sporty design with a large hexagonal grill paired with slim headlights.
"With the pursuit to achieve world's best technology, the newly introduced all new Elantra was developed with concerted efforts of all our employees at Hyundai Motor," said Woong-Chul Yang, vice chairman of Hyundai Motor Group's R&D Center following the announcement.
Although the vehicle's body is less than an inch longer and wider than the original model, it's structure has been redesigned to increase durability and rigidity by incorporating 32 percent more high strength steel. The new model also features and integrated memory seat function that recalls up to two profiles for the automatic seats. This feature allows the driver to preset the seat positions that also include the angle of the outside mirrors.
Hyundai expects to sell about 50,000 of the new models in South Korea, and about 700,000 worldwide next year.
